Battersea Park

ā˜… 4.7 (23,563)Free

Laid out in the 1850s on reclaimed marshland, Battersea Park has long been one of south London's most-loved green spaces, combining formal gardens with a boating lake, children's zoo, and sports facilities. The London Peace Pagoda, built by Buddhist monks in 1985, sits prominently on the riverbank and is one of the park's most photographed features. Reviewers consistently describe it as large, well kept, and a genuine local favourite rather than a tourist detour.

What people say

"This morning, I had some free time, so I decided to visit a nearby park. It turned out to be a wonderful experience. The park is very large and beautiful. Many people were out for their morning run, while others were enjoying a walk with their dogs. I spent some time walking around and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Although I explored only a small part of the park, I was impressed by its size and natural beauty. I also captured some beautiful photographs during my visit. Overall, I really enjoyed my time there, and after a refreshing walk, I headed back home."
