A. Wong

4.3 (1,327)$$$$ · Premium

A. Wong distinguishes itself from London's usual Chinese-restaurant fare by digging into specific regional traditions across China rather than sticking to a generic menu, and reviewers describe the tasting menu, including a vegetarian version, as a genuine culinary journey. At lunch it turns more relaxed, with a wide spread of dim sum and other dishes designed for sharing, making it as suited to a family meal as to a serious evening tasting menu. Its 4.3 rating from over 1,300 reviews and premium pricing reflect a kitchen operating at a high level without losing sight of hospitality. It works well for both a considered date-night dinner and a more casual family lunch.

What people say

"What an incredible culinary journey through many regions of China! Thank you Andrew and team for an unforgettable dining experience! The vegetarian tasting menu, in which we tasted 41 different items, was exquisite! There wasn’t a single item we didn’t enjoy, each was infused with unique flavours and textures and the presentation was immaculate - can’t fault any part of our dining experience! And Biraj our lovely waiter was attentive and looked after us warmly. We especially enjoyed speaking with head chef Andrew Wong at the end of the meal, upon request, and learned more about his own journey. We remembered dining at his parents’ Chinese restaurant Kym’s housed at the same location, before Andrew transformed it into a food heaven! And we’ve also enjoyed his collaboration with Oberoi in Delhi at Baoshuan, which also has amazing food!"
