Viewpoint of Monte Agudo

4.5 ·

Head up to the Viewpoint of Monte Agudo for one of Lisbon's calmer panoramas. Pick a bench, order a coffee or a drink from the little bar, and watch the city light up at sunset.

📖

Full description

The Viewpoint of Monte Agudo is a secluded miradouro with sweeping views over Lisbon and a small bar selling drinks and coffee. Reviewers call it one of the nicest places in the city to watch the sunset, and note that it is quieter than most viewpoints even when the terrace is busy, with well-placed benches that make it a good spot for reading.

The gates have been reported closed in wet weather, with few signs on the way up warning visitors. Hours run later at weekends, and a visit usually takes about half an hour.

Reviews

This is one of the most beautiful places to watch the sunset in Lisbon. I drove past it and checked it on the map; it was amazing! This is my second time here.
