Slip into Parque Botânico do Monteiro-Mor, a quiet botanical garden tucked away in Lumiar. Follow shaded paths among dense foliage and colourful flowers, take photos, and enjoy a calm hour with few other visitors.
Full description
Parque Botânico do Monteiro-Mor is a compact botanical park in northern Lisbon where winding paths run through dense planting and flower beds. Visitors describe a peaceful hour of walking, often with hardly anyone else around, and many leave with plenty of photographs.
A garden ticket is a few euros, with a higher ticket if you add the museum on the same site. It is closed on Mondays and keeps shorter hours on weekends, including a lunchtime break on Saturdays, so timing needs a little planning.
Best for couples and plant lovers.

Lovely little botanical garden. Spent about an hour here walking around. No one else was there, it was very peaceful. Tickets are 3 euro each for the garden, more to add the museum. Free entry if you have your portuguese tax number ready. Toilets available in the museum downstairs.
