Make the trip out to Parvus Kalamış, a bistro-style restaurant with an Aegean accent. Share starters like mushroom salad, then try the risotto reviewers rave about, in an unhurried local setting.
Full description
Parvus Kalamış sits in the Kalamış neighbourhood, away from the main tourist circuit, and reviewers say that distance is part of its appeal. They describe the feel as an Aegean version of a French bistro, with friendly, attentive staff and starters like a mushroom salad with strong, intense flavour.
The risotto gets repeated praise, with one guest calling it the best they had ever eaten. At 4.8 stars from a modest number of reviews, it reads as a local favourite rather than a famous name, well suited to couples after a calmer, more residential evening meal.

Very good experience in general. Perfect place to try if you want to eat something different in Istanbul. We highly recommend the risotto, since it was probably the best one we’ve ever had (and trust me we’ve tried many). The chocolate mousse was also 10/10. The burrito was correct although we’d recommend to have it…
