📖

Full description

The Naval Museum traces Turkish naval history through historic ships, maritime artefacts, uniforms and paintings. Its standout feature is a collection of beautiful caiques, with particular strength in 18th-century vessels, though reviewers note that medieval artefacts are limited.

As the largest naval museum in the country, it rewards an unhurried visit of around 90 minutes and gives a cool indoor break on hot days. It suits families and anyone curious about maritime heritage, and booking is recommended.
