Ihlamur Kasrı

Slip away from the city bustle at Ihlamur Kasri, an Ottoman pavilion wrapped in leafy gardens. Wander the paths among free-roaming peacocks, step inside the carved baroque rooms, and take a coffee break at the garden cafe.

📖

Full description

Ihlamur Kasri is a mid-19th-century Ottoman summer pavilion decorated with baroque-style carvings and surrounded by tidy, tree-shaded gardens. Visitors tend to rate the grounds above the interior: peacocks, ducks and other birds wander the paths, and the small cafe makes it easy to linger.

The building is compact and elegant, with limited contents inside, so many people treat the garden as the main attraction. It suits a calm, low-key stop of around 45 minutes in a busy part of the city and works well for couples and photographers.

The pavilion is closed on Mondays.
