Full description

Hodjapasha Cultural Centre occupies a former 15th-century hammam, and its Rhythm of the Dance show uses that intimate space to present regional Anatolian folk dances reworked with contemporary choreography. Professional dancers perform in elaborate costumes against music, lighting and projections, close enough to the audience that reviewers praise the immediacy of the sound and movement.

The show runs about 75 minutes and is offered only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 20:30. A small exhibition on dervishes and Sufism in the foyer rewards those who arrive early.
