Escape the city heat at Pratolino Park, a calm green pocket in the hills north of Florence. Stroll shaded paths, take in the fresh air, and stand beneath the colossal statue at the heart of the grounds.
Full description
Pratolino Park sits in the hills north of Florence and works as a leisurely, low-key alternative to the busy city centre. Visitors come for unhurried strolls under plenty of tree cover, the fresh air, and the colossal statue that serves as the park's main landmark.
Reviewers describe it as scenic and peaceful, with enough shade to stay comfortable on hot days and enough space for children to roam. The site carries an interesting history that adds context to a walk, and the two-hour typical visit leaves room for a relaxed loop without rushing.

Very scenic park, quiet and away from city buzz. Very nice stroll around enjoying flora and nice air. Of course the main attraction is the colossal statue, if that is what you like. In my case I like it a lot and really glad I made it out to this park.
