Pull up a chair at Spitaki, a homey Greek taverna that has won over diners who know the real thing. Share small plates, pair them with Greek wine and settle into an unhurried meal.
Full description
Spitaki is a relaxed Greek taverna pairing a bar with a homey dining room, serving classic dishes and small plates. One reviewer who lived in Greece for 40 years called it the best of Greece in Edinburgh, praising the food, wine, atmosphere and service.
Another noted that portion sizes can be modest, so ordering several plates to share makes sense. With a 4.7 rating across nearly a thousand reviews and mid-range pricing, it works for lunch, dinner or a late afternoon meal.
It suits couples and friends, and it is closed on Mondays.

Reviews
Recently visited the restaurant and dined there and the food is tasty and well cooked. The only two things that threw me off is the size and quantity of food. The Greek salad barely had any tomatoes and it’s small. Salads are made to be shared. Also the pork skewers were tasty but small. Tasty food but very small…
