Walk the paths of Figgate Park, a local green space around a large pond in Edinburgh's east. Look out for swans and ducks, and stop at the picnic tables.
Full description
Figgate Park is a local park in east Edinburgh built around a large pond, with walking paths, picnic tables and a reputation for visible wildlife including swans and ducks, and reported sightings of otters. Dog walkers and families use it for relaxed outings of roughly 45 minutes.
Reviews are mixed, however: some visitors say parts of the pond area are fenced off or in disrepair, which limits close views of the birds, while others enjoy the wildlife and friendly regulars. It suits those seeking an unhurried local park rather than a headline attraction.

Reviews
It's a real mess. It use to be lovely. You can't get near the birds in most parts as the wooden plank board is written and The Council has blocked the area off preventing access. The pond requires a clean. The Council get a poor from me
