Full description

Whitefriar Street Church is an easy-to-miss Catholic place of worship in central Dublin, built to a design by George Papworth and consecrated in 1827. Visitors describe walking past without a thought, then being surprised by a beautifully preserved interior with fresh flowers, side shrines and a calm, welcoming atmosphere.

A statue outside often draws people in first. The church also has a small shop that reviewers single out.
