📖

Full description

Hodges Figgis is a large bookshop spread across four floors in central Dublin, with a well-organised layout and plenty of character in the building itself. Its Irish Room covers a wide span of Ireland-centred writing, from history and politics to literature, which makes it a natural stop for anyone wanting a meaningful souvenir.

Reviewers praise the browsable, atmospheric feel and the sheer size of the selection. It suits solo browsers and couples alike, and thirty minutes is enough for a quick look, though book lovers will happily linger longer.

Reviews

As the oldest bookshop in Ireland, this is must-visit for anyone visiting Ireland. Spread out over 4 levels, they have a section called The Irish Room which does its best to cover everything from Irish History to Irish Literature. I could spend an entire day in any of their well-laid out departments!
