Settle into Selma, Indre By's stylish take on the Danish open sandwich. Sample modern smørrebrød toppings and a draft artisan ale for a relaxed, design-conscious lunch.

📖

Full description

Selma is a mid-range Danish restaurant in Indre By that updates smørrebrød with a contemporary touch, offering fish, meat and vegetarian toppings. Reviewers mention a small tasting menu featuring herring, salmon, grilled pork belly and oyster, while Google highlights its draft artisan ales from Mikkeller and other small breweries.

Opening hours are lunch-focused on weekdays, with an evening service on Saturdays. One diner found the experience underwhelming, so expectations are best set around a modern, stylish take rather than a strictly traditional one.

Aesthetic and couple appeal run high.

Reviews

Super good food and extremely friendly service, but they charge 45 DKK (€6) for tap water per person, which felt like a rip-off. It was a shame that this only became clear when the bill arrived, and it left a bit of a bad taste after an otherwise really good experience. Better to drink beer instead. :)
