Step into Jægersborg Dyrehave, a woodland reserve just 20 minutes from Copenhagen where wild deer roam beneath ancient oaks. Walk or cycle the long forest paths toward the Baroque palace, watching for herds along the way.
Full description
Jægersborg Dyrehave is a large wooded nature reserve north of Copenhagen, known for centuries-old oak trees and a herd of more than 2,000 wild deer that wander openly through the grounds. Free to enter and open at all hours, it draws walkers, cyclists and riders, and a Baroque palace sits in the upper part of the park.
A family-friendly amusement park near the entrance adds a lighter note. Visitors describe a fresh-air escape that feels far removed from the city, with a walk of roughly 40 to 60 minutes needed to reach the upper area.

It is a beautiful park to take a walk in. It just feels so refreshing with the fresh air away from the city. It takes just 20 minutes from the city to reach the park. The deers are freely roaming around and are a beauty to watch. It is free of charge to get into the park. I would recommend going there if you’re in…
