Dive into Den Blå Planet, the whirlpool-shaped aquarium at Copenhagen's coast. Wander through habitats from rivers to reefs, touch the rays, and finish in the outdoor butterfly area.
Full description
Den Blå Planet is the national aquarium of Denmark, housed in a sleek, spiral-shaped building near the Øresund coast. Exhibits are arranged by natural habitat, from freshwater rivers to coral reefs and open ocean, with educational displays alongside the tanks.
Visitors single out the interactive areas where they can touch fish and rays, as well as the outdoor butterfly area. Opinions on size and ticket price vary, but the space works well for families and anyone interested in marine life and striking contemporary architecture.
A weekday afternoon tends to be calmer.

It was smaller than I expected, tickets are a bit expensive. Probably more fun for kids than adults. Visited on monday afternoon, so it was quite calm and not so busy. Good to know that if tou want to leave stuff in a cloakroom, it’s paid - 15 DKK, but you have to pay refundable deposit which is 60 DKK
