Full description

The Church of Our Lady, Copenhagen's cathedral, is a neoclassical building by CF Hansen whose plain interior is lined with Bertel Thorvaldsen's statues of Christ and the apostles. Reviewers describe a calm, open space where it is possible to light a candle or sit quietly, and some arrive to find the organist practising.

Entry is free and a visit takes about thirty minutes. It opens early in the morning, which makes it easy to fit in before other sights.

Reviews

Highlight of our trip. Jesus and the original twelve apostles. Beautiful church and amazing statues. Very peaceful and the folks at the church were friendly.
