Újlipótváros

Újlipótváros is a residential district in Pest's 13th district, developed largely in the 1930s and known for its modernist and Bauhaus-influenced apartment buildings. The area centres on streets such as Pozsonyi Road and the green space of Szent István Park along the Danube.

It has a distinctly local feel, with independent cafés, bakeries, small shops, and residents going about daily routines rather than tourist crowds. The pace is relaxed, and the appeal lies in the architecture and the lived-in atmosphere.

It works well for a slow walk with a coffee or lunch stop, offering a view of Budapest beyond the main sights.
