Palace of Justice | Brussels

4.3 ·

Stand beneath the Palace of Justice, one of Europe's most imposing courthouses. Walk around its monumental neoclassical facade, step into the visitable interior if open, and take in the scale of the main hall.

📖

Full description

The Palace of Justice is an eclectic neoclassical court building, home to the country's highest court, and one of the largest structures of its kind in Europe. Its enormous scale is the main draw: visitors often say they feel small beside it.

Parts of the interior can be visited without a guided tour, and guided tours are also available, though reviewers note that some areas show their age and could use restoration. It is free to approach, needs only about 20 minutes, and works well as a quick stop combined with the nearby Marolles and Sablon districts.
