Het Zinneke

Track down Het Zinneke, Brussels' wry bronze dog caught mid-pause at a lamp post. Find the statue, enjoy the joke without the crowds of its better-known neighbours, and snap a quick photo.

📖

Full description

Het Zinneke is a playful bronze sculpture of a dog urinating against a post, forming the third member of Brussels' trio of cheeky fountain statues alongside Manneken Pis and Jeanneke Pis. It sits a little off the main tourist circuit, which means visitors often find it with few people around, unlike its more famous siblings.

Reviewers like its lifelike pose and humour, and many say it is the most charming of the three. A stop here takes about 15 minutes, easily folded into a walk through the nearby streets.

Reviews

One of Brussels’ famous peeing attractions. I have to say that, out of all of them, this one is the cutest. The statue is easy to access, there are usually no crowds around it, and the sculpture itself is beautifully crafted.
