Schaubühne

4.7 (1,934)$$ · Mid-range

Schaubühne has built an international reputation for ambitious, boundary-pushing contemporary theatre, and reviews describing a visit during a festival run call the experience incredible and praise the warmth of the staff working there. Its high culture score paired with an above-average trendy score reflects a company that manages to be both critically serious and genuinely fashionable within Berlin's theatre scene. A 4.7 rating across reviews shows strong overall satisfaction, though at least one review recounts a distinctly negative experience with front-of-house service, a reminder that individual visits can vary. It suits travelers with a serious interest in cutting-edge European theatre.

What people say

"Visited the Schaubühne last week for the fesitval. Wow. The theatre is incredible. The people who work in the theatre, LOVELY! All round great atmosphere and place. I can't wait to go back on day. Very big, spacious. Disabled access. They have a lovely bar/cafe that is normally the last thing to close around 11-12pm. You can get some hot food/snacks/drinks, etc. Spaces to park your car outside. I would definitely recommend it if you enjoy theatre and you're in the area :)"
