Food
Sahara Imbiss is a modest, budget-friendly spot built around falafel, shawarma, and halloumi, and reviewers keep returning to one detail: the sauces, particularly a peanut sauce singled out as exceptional. With 238 reviews at 4.6 stars, it's smaller in scale than the neighbourhood's bigger names, which tracks with its higher hidden-gem score relative to must-see and culture scores. It's a quick, inexpensive stop — 20 minutes is plenty — for a casual lunch or dinner rather than a destination meal. Friendly service and reliably good value round out the appeal.

What people say
"Sahara is a fantastic place for falafel, shawarma, and halloumi, with excellent sauces. The spicy one, the mango, and especially the peanut sauce are absolute highlights. The breads are incredibly tasty—everything was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is great, the staff is unbelievably friendly, and the restaurant is very clean and well maintained, with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. There’s also a lower level that’s wheelchair accessible, where you can sit comfortably. Simply a delight I absolutely recommended!"
