Irma la Douce

4.5 (385)$$$$ · Premium

Irma la Douce brings a slice of French bistro culture to Berlin, and reviewers describe falling completely for the place, praising both the food and a musical, atmospheric setting that shapes the whole evening. It's called a little piece of classic France with a subtle modern twist, served in an intimate, elegant room. At 4.5 stars across close to 400 reviews and a premium price point, it's positioned as a considered dinner destination rather than a casual meal. Its aesthetic and hidden-gem scores suggest a stylish room that hasn't yet become an obvious tourist stop.

What people say

"I completely fell in love with this place. The food was outstanding in every possible way. The music set such a lovely tone and atmosphere, and the staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive throughout the evening. To start, we shared a small asparagus dish with anchovies and frozen egg yolk as a little pre-starter, which was utterly divine. We then had the octopus with pea purée and the steak tartare - absolutely the right decision. Both dishes were exceptional. For mains, we both chose the entrecôte, cooked perfectly and so tender it practically melted before it reached my mouth. We finished with coffee and the lightest, most delicate madeleine. Altogether, it was a stunningly good meal from start to finish. I’ll definitely be back next year when I’m in Berlin."
