Nature/outdoor
Hasenheide Park has a looser, more forested character than many of Berlin's formal parks, with winding paths, picnic areas, and pockets of dense greenery that give it a genuine wildlife feel in the middle of Neukölln. It also holds a place in German sports history as the site associated with Friedrich Ludwig Jahn and the origins of the national gymnastics movement. A 4.2 rating reflects steady appreciation for its relaxed, everyday character rather than any single standout feature.

What people say
"A serene and pleasant park in the Kreuzberg area of Berlin. It has a very natural wildlife feel with wide well maintained paths, seating areas and picnic tables along with some cultivated plant areas and a mini zoo of indigenous animals. A friend and I took part on the park run held there every Saturday as tourists from the UK. It was well organised and friendly. Both German and English spoken. All ages and abilities including children and babies in push chairs with their parents. The route is generally flat with 1 steep incline at around 3km. Very near to the park are a range of cafes and places to eat. It was easy to find. If you're inclined to try out the Park Run it starts at 9 am every Saturday morning. Advise you to get there around 8.45."
