"Such a hidden gem in the outskirts of Charlottenburg. Superb sculptural atelier and private modernist villa of artist Georg Kolbe transformed into museum with a charming cafe. You feel transported to Rome or a small version of Musée Bourdelle in Paris. It is a very tiny museum though, so don’t be surprised it’s just 2 big viewing rooms, but their beauty makes it worth the ticket price. Access to the gardens and cafe is free and in summer would already make for a very nice hangout spot. Only problem with the caffe is that the staff, although very friendly and good people, are a bit overwhelmed with the logistics of the coffee machine for their volume of orders, so service is slow."
