Curry 36 has amassed nearly 14,000 reviews, among the highest review counts in this batch, and its very high must-see score confirms its status as a default currywurst stop for visitors to the city. Opinions on whether it's actually the best version in Berlin are mixed among reviewers who have tried several stands, but the volume of visitors keeps it a fixture regardless. At 4.2 stars and a twenty-minute typical visit, it's built entirely around a fast, casual bite rather than a sit-down experience. Its low aesthetic score matches its function as a functional street-food counter.

What people say
"I saw a location at the Main station in the morning and figured if I saw another one I would try for lunch. I have been eating currywurst for over twenty years and one of my goto places when in Germany. As both places had a long line figured it was good. Sadly for me the curry sauce tasted more like ketchup. The wurst was good but the sauce is what makes the dish. My fries were good but the mayo was bland. I have had better jarred curry sauce from Kaufland so not sure who is buying the sauce. There are some that will like this but having had different curry from all over Germany this missed the mark. The prepackaged in the store for me tastes better. The brotchen while does not look like much was good. I am used to a larger and more brown crusted brotchen but this was better than it looks. However, customer service was great and if that is what you are looking for this place has it just wish the sauce had more curry flavor and the mayo was not bland."
