Full description
Treptower Park stretches along the Spree in southeast Berlin, its riverside lawns and paths a popular spot for a Sunday walk, but its centerpiece is the vast Soviet War Memorial, a solemn and monumental complex commemorating Red Army soldiers who died taking Berlin in 1945. The scale and symbolism of the memorial leave a strong impression even on visitors unfamiliar with its history, and it anchors the park's perfect culture score.
A 4.6 rating and near-100 must-see score make it one of the most essential green spaces in the city, historically as much as scenically.

Spent my Sunday at Treptower Park, and I’m really glad I did. It’s one of those places where you don’t feel the need to do much, just walk around, sit by the water, and enjoy the peaceful vibe. A quiet corner of Berlin that lets you slow down for a while. Definitely a place I’d come back to.
