Coffeebreak
Pastisseria Takashi Ochiai brings a distinctly Japanese sensibility to Barcelona's pastry scene, pairing delicate cakes with sweet and savory items like matcha melon pan in a small, cozy sitting area. Reviewers appreciate the self-service format for a relaxed pace, though opinions on the matcha-based drinks are mixed, with a few noting the matcha latte tasted weaker than expected. At 4.2 stars over more than 1,800 reviews, it stands out for offering something genuinely different from the typical Catalan pastry shop nearby.

What people say
"Great place to try Japanese sweets, they also have incredible cakes and salty options. The sitting area is pretty cozy. They have self-service system if you choose to dine in. We got some coffee and tried mochis, the taste, texture, everything was perfect 😋 They also gave us a piece of panettone to try, it was super delicious, as well. The staff was quite nice and friendly."
