📖

Full description

Lake Vouliagmeni is a natural brackish lake enclosed by rock and hills on the Athenian Riviera, developed into a lakeside swimming spot with decking, sunbeds and facilities. Swimmers float in calm, mineral-rich water that stays pleasant even in cooler months, and many visitors mention the small fish that gently nibble around the feet.

The setting feels removed from the city noise, and the atmosphere is relaxed and spa-like. Entry is charged at a mid-range level, and it is open daily from morning until early evening.

Most visitors spend around two and a half hours.

Reviews

A beautiful and peaceful place surrounded by hills, far from the noise and urban feeling of the city. I especially loved the unique experience of the fish coming around your feet and gently massaging them. It’s such a fun and relaxing feeling! Definitely a lovely place to visit when you want to enjoy nature and escape…
