Discover Schinias National Park, where pine forest and dunes open onto a wild, shallow beach. Stroll to the sea, swim in clear water, or follow the rugged ridge trail along the Kynosoura peninsula.
Full description
Schinias National Park protects a stretch of coastline east of Athens where pine forest meets dunes and a wide, shallow sandy beach. The beach is fairly wild, with few facilities, and a walk of about ten minutes from the parking area is needed to reach the water.
At the southern end, the Kynosoura cape, known as the dog's tail peninsula, offers a rough, rocky but passable trail along its ridge with sea views. Kite surfing is practised off the beach, and some seaside bars nearby handle food and drinks.
A visit usually takes around two hours.

Reviews
It's a sandy beach. Simple. We were there in April and people were already bathing. It doesn't have any facilities, it's more like a 'wild' beach.
