Catch a performance at Onassis Stegi, Athens' striking home for contemporary theatre, dance and music. Browse the programme, admire the neon artwork lighting up the facade, and finish with a drink or dinner on the rooftop.
Full description
Onassis Stegi is a multi-floor, fully accessible arts centre that programmes theatre, dance, music, festivals and screenings in modern, design-led halls. Its facade carries neon artworks, including a piece by Tim Etchells, which draw photographers after dark even when no ticket is in hand.
A rooftop restaurant adds a dining option to an evening out. Performances run in the evening, so plan about two hours per event.
It appeals to couples and culture-minded visitors looking for contemporary work rather than classical repertoire.

I didn’t get in, but just the neon signs on the building are super worth it if you like photography. The Tim Etchells sign is gorgeous at night, and the history behind it is super interesting.
