Spend time in Vondelpark, the elegant 19th-century heart of Amsterdam's green life. Stroll or cycle past ponds and lawns, then settle in for a picnic while the city relaxes around you.
Full description
Vondelpark is Amsterdam's most visited green space, a 19th-century landscaped park in Amsterdam-Zuid with ponds, wide lawns, a playground and an open-air theatre. It is open around the clock and is used for everything from cycling and jogging to barbecues, picnics and simply lying on the grass.
Reviewers note how clean and tidy it stays and that even on a busy, warm day there is enough space for everyone. A 90-minute visit covers a good stretch at a fairly active walking pace, and the park suits couples, families and solo visitors alike.

Reviews
Absolutely stunning scenic park. It is so clean and tidy. Even on an extremely busy, warm day, there was more than enough space for everyone. I'd recommend a family visit, or with the one you love. It was so peaceful and very beautiful.
