Explore Gaasperpark, a roomy lakeside park in Amsterdam-Zuidoost shaped by a former Floriade. Stroll or cycle the paths around the water and watch the water sports activity.
Full description
Gaasperpark is a big green city park on the southeastern edge of Amsterdam, created around the 1982 Floriade event. Its main draws are the lake, the network of paths for strolling or cycling, and a water sports centre.
A campground and motorhome site sits close to a metro station, which makes it a practical base for visiting the city, though reviewers note there is little food or drink nearby outside the summer holiday season. It is open around the clock and suits an hour of relaxed walking or riding.

Great campsite for metro trip into Amsterdam, otherwise you are stranded if you don't have transport. Nowhere to go for food, drink(unless summer holiday season), would not walk to and from metro station when dark as you have to walk through a very dodgy carpark. Facilities were good and mostly very clean, but odd…
