Unwind in Flevopark, a leafy green escape in Amsterdam-Oost. Picnic on the lawns, follow the jogging paths under the trees and cool off at the big outdoor pool in summer.

This is my favorite park in Amsterdam. It feels so wild—like a gnome could wander out from behind a tree at any moment and I wouldn’t be surprised. There is a tree I like to climb in, I feel that it holds a lot of secrets. You can swim in the reservoir behind the park. It’s a bit marshy but still refreshing.
