Museum/arts/culture
Still owned by the Colonna family, this palace near Piazza Venezia is famously restrictive about opening hours, which only adds to its mystique - reviewers describe squeezing in a visit as a genuine reward. The centerpiece Sala Grande, a mirrored, frescoed gallery lined with ancestral portraits and Roman antiquities, draws comparisons to a film set for its theatrical grandeur. An exceptional 4.9 rating, one of the highest of any Rome museum in this set, reflects near-unanimous enthusiasm despite the collection's smaller scale and limited hours. Its perfect must-see, culture, and aesthetic scores confirm this isn't a niche curiosity but a genuine showstopper that simply happens to be hard to catch.

What people say
"This palace / gallery is one of the most beautiful places in Rome. It’s not as easily accessible to the public as other sightseeings, but if you can squeeze it in your visit you definitely should. The tickets are not cheap but I believe they are worth it. The art style is mainly baroque. The main gallery was a filming location fon Roman Holiday. The frescos are stunning. Must see."
