Parc del Laberint d'Horta

Laid out in 1791 for the Marquis of Alfarràs, this garden is the oldest still standing in Barcelona, its centrepiece a geometric maze of clipped cypress hedges that has drawn visitors for over two centuries. Beyond the maze, romantic-era additions include a small lake, statues, and shaded groves that make the wider park feel like a quiet retreat from the modern city. Families in particular enjoy the challenge of navigating the maze itself, while the surrounding gardens reward a slower, more contemplative walk.
