Noble Rot Soho

4.6 (760)$$$ · Expensive

Noble Rot Soho is the second branch of a small group built by wine writers turned restaurateurs, and reviewers consistently mention the wine list as being as much the draw as the food, alongside cooking described as beautiful and, for one visitor celebrating a birthday, ferociously good. The room strikes a relaxed but polished balance, suited to a proper sit-down dinner rather than a quick meal. At 4.6 stars and expensive pricing, it works well for wine enthusiasts and food lovers alike, particularly couples marking an occasion who want a bottle worth lingering over. It also suits a leisurely, well-paced lunch.

What people say

"I had completely forgotten that I had previously visited the Mayfair branch, and this time I came to the Soho one. Both the starters and the mains made for a very enjoyable meal. In particular, the sauces were clearly prepared with great care. The Mussels & Wild Garlic on Toast and the Pan-Fried Ox Tongue with Mustard Sauce & Watercress were so delicious that I would happily have them as mains. The ribeye steak was exceptionally tender and flavourful, although it was a little disappointing not to be asked how I would like it cooked. The restaurant itself is quite small and rather noisy, making conversation difficult, but the excellent food and attentive service made it easy to overlook these issues. Next time, I would prefer to visit at a quieter time to enjoy the meal in a more relaxed atmosphere. →"
