Dover Street Market Paris

"I have always been a huge admirer of Rei Kawakubo and Adrian Joffe’s vision and Dover Street Market is usually a mandatory stop for me. I truly admire the architecture and the curation because it is always a true fashion experience. I had wonderful visits to the London and New York stores where I was always well received and made great purchases especially in NY where I discovered Edward Bess and his work. Even in Paris I had a great experience last October at the DSM Perfume Market where the service was excellent. Unfortunately the main Paris store is a complete letdown. As someone who has worked in fashion for over 10 years I was shocked by the lack of professionalism inside the boutique. I was completely ignored by the staff who preferred to give judgmental looks rather than assist a customer ready to shop. I am not sure if this is the intended service briefing for this specific location unlike the others but this blasé and haughty attitude in 2026 feels incredibly dated and tacky. It is a shame that such a beautiful space is ruined by this behavior and I will not be returning."
