Aqualunae

4.6 (649)$$$ · Expensive

Aqualunae leans hard into atmosphere, with a setting reviewers describe as visually striking enough to anchor a celebratory family dinner, reflected in its notably high aesthetic score. The dinner-only format and required booking point to a restaurant positioning itself for occasion dining rather than casual walk-ins. Reviews are mixed at 4.6 stars from 649 reviews, with some praising the setting and others flagging inconsistent service and a cramped layout. It suits a special evening where the room itself is part of the draw, more than a dependable everyday choice.

What people say

"We celebrated the start of our vacation with a lovely family dinner at Aqualunae on a Saturday evening, and it was a wonderful choice. The setting is striking — the restaurant is housed in what feels like an old church nave, with soaring high ceilings, and colorful Murrina-style glass adding vibrant touches of color while keeping the space elegant and warm. We were welcomed by a lovely young hostess who made us feel instantly comfortable. Things started simply but beautifully with freshly baked bread, local olive oil, and a selection of salts — simple, but so tasty. We toasted the beginning of our holiday with a nice bottle of Franciacorta. The starters were full of surprises: crispy buffalo mozzarella with roasted eggplant, a crispy egg with a soft yolk that was a spectacular, unexpected “wow,” and stracciatella cheese with flambéed gamberoni — another real wow moment. Every dish was tasty, well balanced, and beautifully presented. For mains, we had a rich and creamy carbonara with crispy guanciale, and a New Zealand dry-aged wagyu, seared and flambéed tableside — both delicious and quite the show. We finished with an amazing chocolate dessert with caramel cream, as beautiful to look at as it was delicious to eat. You could feel real attention to detail and respect for the ingredients and flavors in every single plate. I will definitely come back!"
