Dishoom Shoreditch

4.8 (47,551)$$ · Mid-range

Dishoom recreates the feel of old Bombay Irani cafés with warm lighting, ceiling fans, and a buzzing dining room, and the Shoreditch outpost is one of its most popular locations, backed here by an extraordinary 47,000-plus reviews at a 4.8 rating. Reviewers describe the food as consistently good rather than groundbreaking, but it's the atmosphere and hospitality, plus the near-guaranteed table if you book ahead, that keep people coming back. Its mid-range pricing and lunch-through-evening availability make it flexible for families, groups of friends, or a solo diner, though it does get genuinely busy at peak times. This is a crowd-pleaser rather than a hidden gem, and it delivers exactly what it promises.

What people say

"Its a very good restaurant to try Indian cuisine. Located in a quite neighbor. Food tasted nice. They should put a fan(ceiling or table fan) at all sides of the restaurant. We were a group of 11, and the corner we sat didn't have good ventilation. Service is nice. Parantha, Prawn Pathia, Goan Monkfish curry tasted good. Table reservation is recommended."
