Sarrià-Sant Gervasi is the umbrella district covering the affluent uptown neighborhoods that climb from the Eixample toward the Collserola hills, including Sarrià village, Sant Gervasi, and Pedralbes. It's defined by quiet, tree-lined streets, elegant early-20th-century mansions, international schools, and a noticeably slower, more residential rhythm than the tourist-heavy old town below. There are few conventional sights here beyond the Pedralbes monastery, but the district rewards an unhurried walk through its leafy squares and gives a real sense of how Barcelona's upper-middle class lives, away from the crowds of Las Ramblas. It's best treated less as a single destination and more as a green, high-end backdrop for exploring specific pockets like Sarrià village or Pedralbes.
