Shopping/markets
El Corte Inglés on Plaça de Catalunya is the Barcelona flagship of Spain's largest department store chain, stacking multiple floors of fashion, electronics, homeware, and a well-known gourmet supermarket and food hall near the top. Reviewers highlight it as a genuine one-stop destination where nearly anything can be found under one roof, and with over 55,000 reviews and a 4.2 rating it's one of the most visited shopping stops in the city. Its high must-see score alongside modest hidden-gem and local scores fit a reliable, large-scale department store rather than a distinctly local or under-the-radar experience.

What people say
"The last time I came to Barcelona. El Corte Inglés at Plaça de Catalunya was not open for a few days due to a major holiday. I finally shopped here today. Wow! I love this department store. It has 10 or more levels (including the supermarket and food court in the basement). I lost count of how many levels it really has. Lol! The store has everything you need for you, your family, your pets, and your house. It is truly one-stop shopping. I wish we had a store like this in California."
