Food
ichi rewards a bit of searching — reviewers mention initial confusion finding the entrance, which only adds to its low-key charm once inside. The eel dish and fresh sashimi come recommended, with one reviewer specifically enjoying it as part of a Valentine's Day lunch, suggesting a room suited to intimate occasions. Its notably high hidden-gem score relative to its must-see score confirms this is a spot in-the-know diners seek out rather than one on every tourist itinerary. A 4.7 rating across 425 reviews points to a small but genuinely satisfied following.

"As I arrived to this place, I was confused at the beginning. I cannot directly find it, it was a bit hidden which I think added a nice charm to it. As I entered, it gave me a relaxing and calming atmosphere. I was welcomed by a nice and very polite service personnel. I had to remove my shoes which is a typical culture in Japan that brought in this restaurant which I really liked. The sitting arrangement was good, the interior design of the restaurant was simple yet charming, the food was excellent, the choices of drinks were great and the service was on top-notch. I can not say anything negative about this place. I will definitely come back :)"
