Nightlife
Venue MOT is a modest, no-frills club space in New Cross that has earned a strong underground reputation for booking respected DJs in electronic and dance music circles, including names within the DIY and house scenes. Its intimate size and cozy outdoor patio give it a local, insider feel far removed from London's big-name superclubs. Reviews describe a solid atmosphere, though the sound system and layout have drawn some mixed feedback.

What people say
"Small club with a good atmosphere. The DJ the night I went was solid, and the space itself felt intimate without being cramped. There is a cozy patio out back, which is a nice break from the dance floor. Getting there seems more daunting than it actually is. Expect a 15 to 20 minute walk from the nearest tube station. The route might look a bit rough at first, but it felt safe in practice and was not an issue. The main downside is the toilet situation. There are only about three or four unisex stalls, and the queue can take ages. Adding temporary toilets would make a noticeable difference on busy nights."
