Food
Akub brings Palestinian cooking to Notting Hill with a menu reviewers describe as bursting with flavour and using clearly fresh ingredients, served in a nicely decorated room with good natural light. It's frequently mentioned as a well-timed stop after visiting nearby cultural attractions, including the Design Museum, suggesting it works well as part of a broader day out in the area. At 4.6 stars and mid-range pricing, it's an accessible way to try a cuisine still relatively underrepresented in London, suited to a relaxed lunch or dinner for couples or small groups. Reviewers consistently recommend returning, a good sign of genuine quality rather than a one-off impression.

What people say
"An absolute gem of a high end restaurant. Superb homely food bursting with flavour, ultra fresh, perfect service time, beautiful decor and natural light and if I could give a 6 out of 5 for service I definitely would, if you get Romina looking after your table, you’ll get the best service in London, she goes above and beyond to ensure everything goes perfect, she’s an absolute gem. A superb experience across the board, no mistakes and pro tip: the coffee (Kissing Hippo) is made perfectly with a choice of milks. Will come back to get around the whole menu."
