"It is smaller in scale than the Saint-Ouen market I visited last summer, but I actually preferred it because there were none of the fake designer goods that do not interest me, and it almost felt as though all the categories I do not care for had been filtered out. The only downside is that it opens early, around 7or 8 in the morning, and some items are already gone by around midday. If you plan to visit, it is best to arrive in the morning so you can see everything. I bought two items, and perhaps because of the current economic situation and rising prices, it was possible to get a discount when paying in cash. For Paris flea markets, I highly recommend both Vanves and Saint-Ouen. Saint-Ouen is in the north of Paris, while Vanves is in the south, so it is a pity that visiting both in one day is not very practical. If you are particularly interested in furniture, I would recommend Saint-Ouen, as Vanves has very little furniture. I have visited both markets, and on my next trip to Paris I plan to return to Saint-Ouen. Vanves is made up of simple stalls, whereas Saint-Ouen is made up largely of markets housed inside buildings."
