Görlitzer Park

4.0 (6,924)Free

Görlitzer Park sits where the Görlitzer Bahnhof once stood before it was demolished, and its open lawns and public sports courts now serve as an everyday gathering point for the surrounding Kreuzberg and Neukölln communities. Reviewers describe a constantly active scene of cycling, running, and picnicking, though the park can get crowded and its atmosphere is more gritty-urban than manicured. A 4.0 rating, the lowest in this set, still reflects a well-used and well-loved local space rather than a polished attraction.

✨ Reasons to go

  • 1The park occupies the site of the former Görlitzer Bahnhof train station, demolished after it fell out of use.
  • 2It's one of Berlin's larger inner-city parks, converted entirely from former railway grounds.

💡 Good to know

  • 1Go for the local, low-key atmosphere rather than manicured grounds
  • 2it's free and always has something going on
  • 3keep an eye on belongings, as it's a busy, high-traffic public space

What people say

"Good public spot in Neukölln. Great place for running, go for a picnic. There’s also a public sports area which is for everybody . I just had to use the checkbox and use all those facilities during daytime (including Boxing, Football, Basketball, and lockers + toilets too) Recommended at day time.🎶☀️ It could feel a bit unsafe if you are not local here tho to be honest.. (be careful with dealers) But great anyway Enjoy summer time in Berlin !"
