Felice a Testaccio | ROMA

4.3 (9,260)$$ · Mid-range

Felice a Testaccio has built its reputation almost entirely on word of mouth from Romans themselves, reviewers describe being pointed here by locals, including one recommendation from an Uber driver that led directly to what the traveller calls the best meal of their entire Rome trip. The cacio e pepe comes up repeatedly as the dish to order, alongside attentive staff whom reviewers name individually for their service. At 4.3 from over 9,200 reviews and a near-maximum must-see score, it's clearly no longer an undiscovered secret, and reviewers stress booking ahead to avoid disappointment given how in-demand tables have become. What people say

"Amazing Roman restaurant! Book so that you’re not disappointed! Our friends had recommended this place and it’s well known to Romans - it’s difficult to get a table! We had the classic pastas, Caccio e Pepe (prepared at the table: very cool experience) and the Carbonara. Both were rich in flavours and delicious. The staff is attentive and prompt, with a typically fun and lighthearted approach to life. We sat outside at 7:00PM and had to be out by 9:00PM for ten next sitting. This place is pumping the whole evening. The antipasti are also worth it, and the eggplant with tomato as well as the supplì were delicious. So was the mozzarella di buffala… they have good suppliers of raw ingredients, it was also top notch."
