Food
Tayyabs has been a fixture of London's South Asian food scene for decades, drawing praise for consistently good halal Punjabi cooking β reviewers who've visited for years say the quality has stayed reliable even as the restaurant has grown into something of an institution. At 3.9 stars, mid-range pricing, and 9,500 reviews, it's clearly beloved, though the rating suggests that the reliably chaotic, high-volume service doesn't suit every diner. It's a good pick for those after genuinely good, affordable grilled meat in an unpretentious, bustling setting rather than a polished dining experience. It suits groups and families comfortable with a busy, informal atmosphere.

What people say
"Halal, Delicious food, good hygiene, friendly and professional staff. Mr Shaqib was very helpful to guide us through the menu, and service was excellent. Best lamp chops. Do let them know about the spices medium or hot. If you have ordered extra they will pack it for you rather than leaving a box on a table. Complimentary salad and sauces. Lively but you have to wait in a que for quality food and nice hospitality!!!!!! Thank you!!"
