Food
Ivo a Trastevere is a long-running pizza spot in the neighborhood's tangle of streets, with reviewers specifically calling out the signature Ivo pizza for its generous marinara sauce and thin, well-executed crust. Beyond pizza, dishes like gnocchi with zucchini flowers and onion-topped pizza also get mentioned as affordable, satisfying choices. At 4.1 stars — the lowest rating in this set — over nearly 6,900 reviews, it's clearly popular but more inconsistent than some neighbors, so expectations should be calibrated accordingly. It suits a casual, budget-friendly pizza dinner while exploring Trastevere.

"Great pizza here! I ordered the Ivo pizza - so delicious and they didn’t skimp out on the marinara sauce! Perfect thin pizza. Just be aware that if you order any pizzas with mushrooms on it, it might come out a bit watery/soggy (not much they can do about it, it’s just the mushroom water content). Delicious anyways. Tiramisu was great; I’m not sure if they used lady fingers but the “biscuits” that they used here were very spongey in texture. Not a bad thing but delicious anyway. Tables are crammed into the venue, but it adds to the ambiance. AC doesn’t work well (but this is to be expected in Italy). The servers worked hard running around and taking orders and delivering, and we got one with a good sense of humour. There was some yelling occasionally throughout the venue from the servers, which didn’t personally appeal to me but it was fun for a dinner. The venue needs some updating."
